Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ¾ cup Circle G Farms Bloody Butcher Cornmeal
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
Directions:
- Melt butter in a cast iron skillet to grease.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, blend egg, milk, and vegetable oil until well combined.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, and mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into skillet evenly.
- Bake in oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees or until light, golden brown.
